Questions about method

+ Who is the team?

This event organised by the EEAS Mediation Support Team and its Framework Contract. Antje Herrberg and Ad van Roosmalen will be your hosts, while Miguel Varela will be doing the mapping. Therese Lynch is making sure the event runs smoothly and you can join us.

+ Who will be there ?

This event is planned for mediation and dialogue practitioners from all around the World. We have +230 registered participants, so make sure to connect with them at the event!

+ What is Open Space?

Open Space Technology creates time and space for people in communities to engage deeply and creatively around issues of concern to them. The agenda is set by people with the power and desire to see it through.

+ Who reports on the sessions?

Each session will designate a note-taker who will be in charge of filling in the report and the form. We will discuss this in detail at the plenary session on Monday.

+ What is a dialogue map?

A dialogue map is the resulting canvas from listening to conversation, reframing statements and summarising the main points—it shows the inputs and the connections between them.

+ Why is a dialogue map useful?

Maps often help unlock points of contention and can enable participants to see the impact of their words and how they relate to what others have said.

+ Who is building the map?

The map is built, primarily, by your session convener and participants. Through your report and takeaways, you shape it. Miguel Varela will then transform that into a visual layout.

+ Can I tweet about it ?

Yes! Please use the #EU4PEACE.
